Pruszków is the largest city in the western part of the Warsaw agglomeration. It has 60.000 residents. It is located just 18 kilometers from the centre of Warsaw, and is very well connected.

Pruszków has a perfect location, both in terms of road, rail and air transport. You can get here from the Warsaw Chopin Airport in under 25 minutes, whereas Modlin Airport is just a 40 minute drive. On the outskirts of the city you have the A2 Motorway, that connects Poland with Western Europe. You can also get here from the side of Michałowice through the S7/S8 dual carriage express roads. Apart from this Pruszków is connected by rail through the PKP (National Rail) and WKD (Warsaw Aglomeration Rail). By trains supplied by SKM and Koleje Mazowieckie you can arrive at the PKP Station within 20 minutes from the city centre. Whereas the journey on the WKD lasts 30 minutes.

Pruszków has big sporting traditions. The biggest object is one of the most modern velodromes in the world – Arena Pruszków. This object is located next to the WKD station. Apart from the velodrome there is also the sport complex at Znicz. Here there is a football stadium, where the II Division Znicz Pruszkow plays its games, whereas the I Division basketball team of the same name plays in the sports arena.

Pruszków is very active on the cultural scene. In2018 it opened the Centre of Cultural Heritage which has a cinema and a theatre. Apart from that it has two museums – the Museum of Metalworks, which focuses on the metalwork traditions of the town in the ancient Slavonic times. It also has the Dulag 121 museum, which is located in the place of the old German Prisoner of War Camp.

There are many possibilities in Pruszków to spend your free time. In the summer local residents like going to the Potulicki Park, where you can find a refreshing shade during the heatwaves, or row or paddle a boat on the lake. There is also a swimming pool, where you can not only swim, but also relax in a Jacuzzi or ride down on one of their slides. In November 2018 the first shopping centre – “Nowa  Stacja” – was opened, where apart from popular fashion and sports stores there is also a cinema.
